What you’ll discover: How to apply the right strategies in place to assure your clinic thrives in 2024.
Ok, here we go. Let’s just say it as it is - times are tough. The economy is pretty bad. The markets are fluctuating causing uncertainty in people’s minds. And to top that, the increased competition all make it harder for chiropractic clinics across the UK to stand out and secure growth.
But do not panic my friends. As we navigate through these turbulent times, three factors are critical if you want to ensure your practice not only to survive but thrive!
Here are three unique, boring and HIGHLY effective approaches that can help your chiropractic practice grow in 2024, despite the economic headwinds.
1. Leverage Local SEO with a Community Twist
Most chiropractors know the importance of local SEO, but you can take it a step further by integrating community-specific content into your online presence. This involves creating blog posts, videos, and social media content that not only highlight your services but also feature local news, events, or health-related community initiatives. Let me give you an example, what we do is build relationships with local health centres / gyms etc and give not only their members but also staff free educational workshops to provide value. Once we’ve ‘in’ we can then negotiate a ‘cross-referral program’ , being featured on their prints/posters etc. When was the last time you went to a local gym, asked to speak to the manager and offered to give your expertise for free to their staff members and teach them how to “screen a client for functional movement patterns”? Guess what happens when one of those PTs then trains a private client and the client complains of “back pain”, “stiff neck” …
2. Leverage Existing Audiences and Focus on Niche Markets
This strategy is gold - if you get it right. Here is how it works …
People often forget that there are niches within markets that already have crowds gathering. Let me explain. Why focus on cold audiences, where no one knows who you are, what you do, and there is very little trust and authority. Instead, what if you could tap into an already existing market that has built trust with an established authority.
Here is the exact strategy that I used a few months ago to illustrate my point: I got on the phone with my accountants and pitched them the following idea…
Me: “Hi X. Stefan here. Can I propose something that might interest you?”
Accountant: “Sure Stef, go ahead.”
Me: “Brilliant. What do you think about offering all of the businesses that work with you a Free Work Wellbeing Package. How it works is this - me and my team go to each company (small or large) and offer to provide their employees with professional advice on the importance of good posture, work ergonomics and in turn help the company have less sick leave, days of work due to bad backs etc.?”
Accountant: “Interesting. What would that involve from us and how do we make sure it’s not spammy and actually provides value for our clients…but also what do I get from this?”
Sidenote - my accountants are very straight to the point kinda people.
Me: “Glad you asked. In theory - your workload will be zero. Me and my team will create a template email, e-book, and the proposal. All we ask is for you to approve it once you’re happy with how it’s written, and just press ‘send’ to your database of clients - aka businesses that you work with.”
Accountant: “Nice, as long as it sounds professional and is no work from our side”.
Me: “Yep - zero effort from you guys. And, to say thank you, I will send you a £100 Appreciation Voucher each time a business agrees for us to provide them with the workshop.
Accountant: “Send me the email, and let’s do it”
Boom…almost an endless funnel of businesses that could potentially be interested in company workshops and spinal screenings that we can provide for them.
And the best thing about this method is that my accountants are already a trusted source of information in the eyes of their customers.
3. Old school marketing is back baby
Yep - you read it right. Old school way to market is sexy again and it’s been working extremely well in my practice. We test hundreds of strategies to acquire new patients each year. And the trend that’s consistently bringing us NPs in Q1 of 2024 is good old door-to-door leaflet distribution. I told you this is going to be boring - but guess what … boring works. In fact, it’s generating on average 7-10NPs per month from just leaflet distribution alone. Bare in mind however, we measure EVERYTHING, and we have a very high conversion rate of NP going into care. We therefore know how much we can afford to spend, where, and when. It’s currently costing us about £60 to acquire a NP from leaflet distribution … the LVT of a client is £1700 … is it worth spending £60 to get £1700 if they start treatment … HELL YEAH, it’s like a 28x investment!!!
