How did I have a record month in the worst time of the year?

Firstly, welcome to my blog.

This is the VERY first edition, and I am excited to share with you how I run and operate a $1M+ chiropractic practice (that works even if I choose not to).

Big statement, I know, however, I will prove to you that these are simply the facts … the numbers tell the story.

But, before we start, let’s set some “house rules”. I spend a lot of time, energy, and effort making the content for free to hopefully bring value to lots of people out there, so let’s start by establishing who these blogs are for and who they are not for:

The blogs are for you if:

- You already have a practice or in the process of starting one.

- You want to learn and grow.

- You want to understand how to structure a business that supports your lifestyle.

- You want to build an amazing team and have fun along the way.

- And finally - you want to impact hundreds and thousands of people in your community and beyond.

The blogs aren’t for you if:

- Don’t vibe with me personally, or the stuff I teach.

- Don’t like personal development.

- Don’t like to try new things and think outside the box.

- You are truly 100% happy with your current results.

And by the way, either way, it’s absolutely fine. Honestly, no hard feelings if you don’t feel like my style of coaching or the value I provide for practice owners isn’t something you find useful. (but I know you’ll love it).

So, with that said, let’s get to the main topic today: The Strategy Behind My Best Month During The Worst Time Of The Year.

Time of writing this blog: February 2024.

My practice had one of the best months last month … January 2024 … that’s right. The most financially challenging month for people (after Christmas); during, what’s now classified as, an official recession …

So, how did we achieve $114,000 in January ALONE??? (don’t worry, if you don’t believe me, I will show you the proof below)

Strategic Planning - that’s how!

Like any business owner - I am also petrified that one day I wake up and something “bad” has happened: economy collapsed, all of our patients left, losing valuable team members, etc etc … the voices in our heads never stop. However, that’s not necessarily a bad thing, right? What’s the famous book: “Only The Paranoid Survive”. Being worried about your business not doing well means you care! It means that you will do anything to keep your ‘baby’ not only in survival mode, but also thriving!

And that’s exactly why we managed to generate 2055 appointments in ONE month (usually what’s classified as the worst month in the year … unless you’re a gym owner).

I have included my actual report for January 2024, so you know, it’s not something I am making up.

Now, let me be clear: the numbers are the outputs; the outcomes; the tip of the iceberg. What’s more valuable for you to know (if you want results like this), is the inputs, the processes, the other 90% of ‘stuff’ that we do to get these results (repeatedly and consistently).

So, what does our Strategic Planning look like?

My method is simple. I break it down into 3 major categories:

1. NP Acquisition Channels (aka where my New patients will be coming from).

2. Conversion Mastery (aka how do we communicate the services we provide with patients in the most authentic, transparent, and straightforward way).

3. A-Player Team Culture (aka how do I make sure that my team is amazing and delivering the service we provide so that our patients love us and stay with us for a long long time).

The above points sound simple (and they are), but they are certainly not easy to apply!!! For some of you guys reading, it may seem crazy that we had 103 New Patients pre-paid and booked in the diary (for the month of January alone) and those patients are not lead!!! They are real people who have actively chosen to book as a new patient consultation and paid before coming in.

Guess what that means…

100% show up rate.

High quality, fully qualified clients.

Less stress for the business, higher revenue, happy team members, and most importantly…

Peace of mind (for you).

Oh, and as a side note - those new patients came from over 20+ different acquisition channels (please see my actual report below). This means that if one ‘way of getting’ new patients doesn’t work that month, I have another 22 ways of acquiring them! How does that sound? What would your practice look like, if we can teach you to do that yourself?

In summary:

- When you know times (economically) are hard - plan!

- When you know times are easy and things are going smoothly - plan!

- When you know that you’ve planned as much as you can - then TAKE ACTION! Do Do Do … make stuff happen!

Guys, each and every week, I will try my very best to bring value to everyone who wants their practice to thrive. I’ve been in the profession now for over a decade, in business for almost 7 years, and I truly believe that Chiropractic is an incredible thing we can offer to people, so my mission is to NOT see chiropractic practice struggle!!! There is literally no reason (if you know the strategies, systems, and tactics) to not have an amazing and bulletproof Chiropractic business.
